About us

ByteHaps was founded in 2021 by Paul Alexander and embraces the idea that everything technology- and internet-related should be as clear as possible to every user. In short, we want to make more sophisticated or specialized content more readable to our readers in a fun yet clear manner. We like to refer to our articles as “haps”, which actually has a deeper meaning in the founder’s native tongue of Dutch. Making something “happable” is a Dutch term used to explain things clearly and concisely, which is exactly what we aim to do here. Given the fact that the majority of our content covers topics such as social media, online platforms, technology, and other computer-related stuff, the name ByteHaps (a portmanteau of “byte” and “haps”) was born. That cute little fella you can spot in our logo is Happy, our very excited mascot who will be your guide across our website and our other channels.

Complicated or specialized topics about the internet, social media, metaverse and technology in general should be “happable” to everyone: easy-to-understand in a clear and concise manner. Additionally, we want to help you explore all the fun and interesting things that the digital world has to offer.
